Ingram began his career as a commentator at Junior College football broadcasts at the age of 18 in 1998. His first full-time work as a student was in Clinton at Mississippi College as a play-by-play reporter.

His professional broadcasting started as a baseball play-by-play announcer.  Joining the Jackson Senators for the Eugene Emeralds of the Northwest League.  In addition, after graduating in 2003. Ingram earned a bachelor’s degree course in communication and Media from Mississippi College graduating in 2003.
