Derek began working for CNN in September 2015, he’s worked for five years as a meteorologist. In addition, he plays the role of an on-air anchor with HLN and CNN International. He worked with WEYI-NBC25 presenting the daily morning weather bulletins this was after he graduated, he worked from 2005 to February 2008 this was three years, two months it was a start in his career.
A month later he went to work in South Africa from March 2008 to July 2014 for e.TV and enCA, he played the role of a Chief Meteorologist for all platforms, presenting weather & science bulletins on eNCA during Newsnight from 4 pm to 12 pm SAST and e.TV Primetime “7 pm”. He then moved to work for CNN as a meteorologist, additionally, he works as an on-air anchor with CNN International and HLN this was in September 2015, he’s been working here for five years.
