Papa works for the San Francisco 49ers as the radio play-by-play announcer as of now. Together with Donte Whitner, Ian Williams, and Jeff Garcia, in 2018, they hosted 49ers pre-and post-game live on NBC Sports Bay Area. He took over as the radio voice of the 49ers handling the play-by-play duties.

Together with Tim Ryan an analyst for the team on KNBR 680, beginning with the 2019 season. Papa has hosted both “Warriors Postgame Live” as well as “Warriors Pregame Live”. Since the 2011-12 season on NBC Sports Bay Area also, together with Garry St. Jean.
