Before he worked for Al Jazeera English as a correspondent, he began working here in 2010 and he covered the aftermath of the devastating Haiti earthquake that killed more than 220,000 people and displaced around 3 million, also he broke the news on Malala Yousafzai the little-known teenage education activist, the now world-famous and Nobel-winning, had been shot in the head by the Taliban, More to that, he was among the first international journalists to report live from outside Osama bin Laden’s compound after he was killed in a U.S. Special Forces’ raid, getting footage from inside the hideout.

He reported on the passage of the Affordable Care Act, Senator Ted Kennedy’s funeral, and the confirmation of Sonia Sotomayor as the Supreme Court’s first Hispanic justice, his career began at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation as a reporter.
