Justin Kollar Career

Justin began working at the FOX59 News team as a reporter in April 2021. Previously, he worked in Grand Rapids, Michigan, covering lakeshore news and events for WOOD TV8, during his time he covered stories like heartbreaking riots, threatening water levels rising on the banks of Lake Michigan, collapsing dams, and protests at the Capitol. In the summer of 2020, his live coverage of the downtown riots and won an Edward R. Murrow Award.

In 2017, Justin worked in Central Missouri covering large-scale sporting events including the Texas Bowl and the governor’s resignation, That is before he graduated in 2018.

Justin went not on air he goes on hikes with his fiancée, barking for the Cleveland Browns during football season or signing up for a local 5k. Additionally, Justin has been awarded for the last three years the Michigan Master Angler award and enjoys fishing
