Kailyn Lowry, an American reality television personality, public speaker, and author. She came to the limelight after being cast in the second season of reality television series 16 and Pregnant in 2010, which documented the pregnancies and first months of motherhood for several young women.
In late 2010 Lowry was cast in the spin-off series Teen Mom 2, along with Jenelle Eason, Leah Messer, and Chelsea DeBoer, and has appeared in each of its eight seasons.
In 2014, Lowry released her first book, Pride Over Pity. In 2016, her second book, Hustle, and Heart was released. It was announced in 2018 that her third book A Letter of Love.
Prior to its release, she revealed that the book was written as an apology to her children, especially the youngest son Lux. Lowry has also ventured into children’s books with her book Love is Bubblegum which she released in 2015.
In 2017, Kailyn received a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Delaware State University.
Lowry also hosts her own Podcast series, Coffee Convos which she hosts with fellow reality TV star Lindsie Chrisley.
Lowry who is divorced married the father of her second child, Lincoln, Javi Marroquin, a member of the United States Air Force, on September 4, 2012, while pregnant, and filed for divorce in December 2015.
Some of their marriage was televised; in one segment of Teen Mom featuring the two, her then-husband Marroquin blamed her for suffering a miscarriage, and later, the two appeared together on Marriage Boot Camp. The two agreed to share custody of their son and Lowry denied rumors that their marriage had ended due to infidelity.
As of February 2020, Lowry has three children, the son Isaac Elliott Rivera (born January 18, 2010), with Jonathan “Jo” Rivera, her then-boyfriend. Her second child, a son Lincoln Mashall Marroquin (born November 16, 2013), with her ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, and son Lux Russell Lowry (born August 5, 2017) by her friend, Chris Lopez.
Lowry is currently pregnant again but did not disclose the name of the individual by whom she was pregnant. In 2018, Lowry had expressed a desire to have a fourth child, preferably a daughter, and said that she was open to the possibility of using a sperm donor, as she did not want to deal with another “baby daddy” situation.
Lowry stands at a height of 1.73 m.
