Reports stated that Daniell ran away from her parents’ home while Ava seemed to have accompanied her and that they were last seen at the Walmart in Gladstone off 72nd street. Horner filled with terror asked her fans, friends, and family to help her find the girls and also join her in prayers.

Horner graduated from there with BS ChE in 2009. She began attending USC part-time while pursuing an MS Engr in Green Technologies in the spring of 2011. Horner is an alumnus of the University of Kansas.
Horner is a familiar face to many in Kansas City. She spent 17 years as a Chief Meteorologist in the Kansas City area before her career took her east and west along Interstate 70. Horner commuted to St. Louis, Mo. every week to do the weather on KMOV and KSDK while taking care of her terminally ill father. she headed west and accepted a position as Public Affairs Director for the Kansas Adjutant General in Topeka, Kan after he passed.
Horner also became the spokesperson for the Kansas National Guard and the Kansas Division of Emergency Management while there. She was invited to join the First Alert Weather Team in April 2018. Horner’s career highlights include serving on the Broadcast Board of the American Meteorological Society. She founded “Seal of Approval Consulting” to help new meteorologists. Horner authored a children’s book, ‘Brainstorming: A Creative Guide to Help Parents and Children Through Severe Weather.’ And, she’s been voted one of Kansas City’s most influential women.
She is married to Kansas City architect Alan Kovar. Between them, they have four daughters, Chelsea, Hannah, Anna, and Ava. They also have two black labs, Harry and Stella. Horner has run three half-marathons, the Dublin, Ireland Marathon, and the Chicago Marathon. She’s also completed more than three dozen short triathlons, and too many 5k’s and 10k’s to remember. On top of that, she’s also completed a 500-mile bike ride through the Colorado Rocky Mountains.
