Before joining KATC TV 3, Lopez worked as a Weekend Anchor at McAllen, Texas for three years. She started her career as an intern at KPLC in Lake Charles, and before graduating. From Northwestern State University, Lopez was hired as a News Assistant.
With KPLC born and raised in Evangeline. Her drive and determination landed her a job in McAllen, Texas as a Video Journalist. Lopez covered everything from illegal immigration, cartel crimes, and drug smuggling while in McAllen.
