Keme Nzerem is currently working as a news anchor and reporter for Channel 4 News, he began working here in 2001. Prior to that, he was a Washington reporter and Channel 4’s home affairs, as the sports producer also hosting More4 News its sister program. Before that, he worked for Comic Relief.
He wrote about his experience of going to the same school with Richard Reid, the shoe bomber, in 2002. For a report on the American 2007 Iraq troop surge, it got him the Royal Television Society foreign news award, that’s in 2008.
While he was still working at Channel 4 News, he reported from different places around the world on different stories, some of the major stories he covered included the election of Barack Obama, Hurricane Katrina, the Grenfell fire, World Cups & Olympic Games, and pedophiles in football.
Additionally, he was also the face of Channel 4 News’ Black to Front day coverage which aimed to elevate Black stories and Black production staff. He is a Nigerian British.
