Leo Mazzone Biography

Leo Mazzon is a famous player-manager for the class-A Corpus Christi Seagulls. And retired pitcher in minor league baseball and as a pitching coach in Major League Baseball. He served from 1979 to 2005 with the Atlanta Braves organization.

Mazzone served for the Baltimore Orioles as the pitching coach from 2006 to 2007. He serves for the Fox Sports Baseball program as the Special Pitching Advisor currently. Mazzon reached as high as the Double-A Amarillo Giants and played 7 seasons in the Giants organization.

He played four seasons at Amarillo Giants from 1970 to 1973. Mazzon played in the Oakland Athletics chain the next three seasons and in 1975 reached Triple-A with the Tucson Toros also.
