As part of his career growth, Steve shifted to WFTV in Orlando, taking over as the 5 pm weather anchor. In this position, he was able to cover Hurricane Andrew in 1992, an experience she can recall up to date. In addition, he served at KDNL in St. Louis as the chief meteorologist.
