He has won an Emmy award-winning journalist and also comes to Northern California from Miami where he co-anchored the weekday morning newscast for the CBS owned & operated station WFOR in Miami, Florida. He also spent six years anchoring all of the FOX affiliate’s evening newscasts in San Diego.
He originally anchored the 5 p.m news at NBC affiliate KHNL and co-anchored the station’s top-rated evening newscast at 9 p.m. each weekday. He also anchored for KGMB, the CBS affiliate in Honolulu.
Walter enjoys traveling and in the last two years, he’s been to Hong Kong, Thailand, Myanmar, Laos, Colombia, Peru & Chile, and Mexico.
